Privacy policy

BC Mortgage Calculator is an Android mortgage calculator published by Mabuhay Software ("we", "us", or "our"). It estimates a monthly payment, produces an amortization schedule, and shows how extra payments affect a loan. It has no account and no sign-in, and the figures you enter are calculated on your device.

This policy explains what stays on your phone, what the app does not do, and the choices you have. It applies to the BC Mortgage Calculator app and this page. The Bluecoins app has its own privacy policy.

The short version

• No account. There is no sign-in, no user profile, and no BC Mortgage Calculator server that stores your data.
• The app collects no personal data. No accounts, no ads, no analytics, no crash reporting, and no internet access.
• Your figures stay in memory. Property value, down payment, interest rate, term, expenses and prepayments are used to calculate the result and are not saved after the app is closed.
• Your preferences stay on your device. Theme, haptics, currency and number-format choices are stored locally so the app remembers how you like it.
• We do not sell your personal information.

Who we are

BC Mortgage Calculator (the "App") is published by Mabuhay Software ("we", "us", or "our"). The Android package is com.bluecoinsapp.mortgageapp.

The App is a calculator. It does not offer credit, arrange a loan, or provide financial advice. This policy applies only to the App; Google Play and any other app or website are governed by their own operators' policies.

Information we collect

We do not collect, transmit, sell, rent or share any personal data. The App has no user accounts and no sign-in. Specifically, the App does not collect:

• name, email address, phone number or postal address;
• contacts, calendar, photos, files, microphone, camera, or precise or approximate location;
• device or advertising identifiers (such as IMEI or the Android Advertising ID);
• usage analytics, behavioural data, or interaction logs;
• crash reports or diagnostics;
• financial account numbers, payment data or credit information.

The figures you enter — property value, down payment, interest rate, term, start date, escrow costs, and prepayments — are processed in memory on your device to produce the payment, schedule and charts. They are not transmitted anywhere and are not stored after the App is closed.

Information stored on your device

The App saves a small number of display preferences locally so it behaves the way you left it:

• theme choice (system, light or dark);
• haptic feedback preference;
• currency and a custom currency symbol, if you set one;
• amount format and symbol position.

These preferences use Android's standard local storage (SharedPreferences). They never leave your device and we have no way to read them. You can delete them at any time by clearing the App's storage in Android settings or by uninstalling the App.

Android backup

Android's system backup feature may include the App's local preferences if you have device backup turned on. That backup is handled by Google and stored in your own Google account under your backup settings — not on a server operated by us. You can turn device backup off, or exclude app data, in Android's backup settings.

Permissions

The App requests no runtime permissions and does not ask for access to location, contacts, calendar, photos, files, camera, microphone, or advertising identifiers. In particular, it does not declare the internet permission, and it therefore has no ability to send data off your device.

Third-party services

The App integrates no third-party SDKs that collect data. There is no advertising network, no analytics service, no attribution or marketing SDK, no crash-reporting service, and no cloud sync or backup service operated by us. The App is distributed through Google Play; Google handles download, installation and update telemetry under its own privacy policy.

Purchases and advertising

The App contains no advertising and no in-app purchases or subscriptions. It does not process payments and does not ask for billing information. The Settings screen currently shows an Upgrade and support entry marked "REMOVES ADS"; it is a placeholder for a future release and does not offer a purchase today.

If a future version adds ads or purchases, we will update this policy before that version is released.

Children's privacy

The App is a general-purpose calculator intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. Because the App collects no personal data from anyone, it collects no personal data from children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Your choices and rights

Privacy laws such as the GDPR, the UK GDPR and the CCPA/CPRA give people rights to access, correct, delete, port and object to the processing of their personal data. We do not hold personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to retrieve or erase: the figures you create in the App stay under your control on your own device.

• Remove local preferences. Clear the App's storage or uninstall the App.
• Control device backups. Use Android's backup settings if you do not want app data included in a device backup.
• Contact us. Email support@bluecoinsapp.com for a privacy request.

Retention and deletion

We retain no personal data from the App. The only exception is if you contact us directly: in that case we receive your email address and whatever you write, and we use it only to answer you. Support emails are kept only as long as needed to resolve your question and are deleted afterwards.

Security

Because the App transmits no data, there is no server-side store of your information and no data in transit to protect. Information you enter is held in memory while you use the App, and your preferences are protected by Android's app sandbox and your device's lock screen. No method of storage is perfectly secure, so keep your device locked and up to date.

About this website

This policy page is hosted on bluecoinsapp.com, the same website as our Bluecoins app. The site uses Google Analytics 4 and Vercel Web Analytics on every page, including this one; those website analytics are separate from the App and are described in the Bluecoins privacy policy. There are no ads on this policy page.

Changes to this policy

If the App's data practices change — for example, if a future version adds ads, analytics, cloud sync or purchases — we will update this policy before that version is released and revise the effective date above. The current version is always available at this URL.
